Trump's brutal hero who died long before the Civil War. Evict Andrew Jackson From The $20 Bill
"Jackson's record of brutality
Jackson, by contrast, grew rich from slavery. He treated his slaves with tremendous cruelty. In one notorious incident, he offered a $50 reward for the return of an escaped slave -- and "$10 for every 100 lashes a person will give to the amount of $300."
Jackson's brutality toward black Americans was matched only by his barbarism toward Native Americans.
As president, his first significant legislative accomplishment was the Indian Removal Act, which ejected five tribes from their historic homeland in the Southeast and drove them west of the Mississippi River, to "Indian Territory," or modern-day Oklahoma. When the Supreme Court deemed the law unconstitutional, Jackson reportedly quipped, "That's their decision. Now let's see them try to enforce it."
