Blanket statements like the ones found in this study do not anticipate technological innovations that we can't imagine now. When I was a teenager the Facsimile machine (Fax) was unimaginable. Now email has made it obsolete (tell Congress to update the HIPAA laws which still force us to fax not email medical records). We do not know what the future will be like. Look at the imagined computers of the future in 1950s and 1960s science fiction movies; "Forbidden Planet" and "2001 A Space Odyssey" or the computer voice in the original Star Trek show. We underestimated technological advancement. The lesson is we should be humble in our forecasts for the future and not limit our possibilities for growth or a longer life.
