Resurgent military power - Fears of Japanese Military Expansion Scuttled A U.S. backed Mutual Defense Treaty Between Seoul and Tokyo

Resurgent military power

For those of who and lived in Korea outside of Seoul this is not surprising at all. Anti- Japanse sentiment runs high due to Japan's stubborn refusal to compensate the Korean women forced into sexual slavery during WWII and Japan's refusal to take responsibility to it's war crime in Asia as a whole. Recently Japanese officials protested a memorial to the sold called comfort women in Palasades New Jersey thus raising tensions on the street in Korea.
